Leony and her friend Marie were sitting behind me under the umbrellas of the pub D’Orsay https://www.dorsayrestaurant.com/ under a Quebec City downpour ….. they were kind enough to share their umbrella …. with me!
We connected in one of those Canadian kinda downpours ….. one minute SUNSHINE …. the next ….. RAIN!!!!! …… we were in a sidewalk pub ….. in the sunshine ….. inside the next ….. as the not so GOUD rain came down ….. Oh my Goud!!!!
Leony was 22 years old …… financial director/manager for Kia finance … at a Quebec City suburb dealership no doubt!!!! Her friend Marie, a psych Masters graduate at McGill University!!!
I had recently listened to a podcast about brain science and somehow we started talking about the links between the physical and the sensual ….. we were soaked in the rain!! ….. physical ….. Oh My Goud!!!! …. the emotional!!
So as the downpour became too much ….. we went inside ….. where Christoph linked up to Marie ….. her boyfriend!!
So we continue the conversation ……
Marie, it turns out had recently completed a Masters degree at McGill University …… that of course got me going on …… LOL …… how does the world really work??
I begin to tell them about my arrival in Quebec …… middle of COVID …… looking for connection …… my connection to Jacinthe ….. my massotherapist …… and her theory about the connection between our skin …… our minds ….. and our consciousness! ….. WOW!!!! ….. Big stuff!!!!! ….. Oh My Goud!
Somehow we get to the question of whether we each truly believe we are beautiful …… like really ….. no ….. not really
Leony says she is not beautiful ….. I tell her that she is beautiful!!! (Oh come on ….. I am a man ….. she is a 22 year old gorgeous woman)
Leony says that she does not believe that she is beautiful!!! ….. so there you have it ….. another woman in my life ….. one of many …… that does not believe in her own beauty!!!!!!
Marie believes Leony is beautiful – Marie states clearly …….. Leony loves the people around her – Leony is the best of friends – you can rely on Leony – Leony really cares ….. I think “COME ON!!!!!” ….. that is really big in the world of beauty!!!
Christoph – Marie’s boyfriend – he says he thinks “the same” – but then Christoph adds that he believes Leony to be “competent” – “hummmm????” I think!! OMG Christoph …. such a man …. trying to be the fixer!!
OK!!!!! ….. I think ….. woman ….. how many women have learned that they are “competent” ….. like really ….. we all know “in our hearts” that women are competent in most affairs ….. Christoph ….. he knows that Leony is competent ….. Oh Mon Dieu …… such a man!!!! …… he knows Leony’s heart is beautiful but …… he is a man …. he needs to add “Leony is COMPETENT”!
Leony, as a follow on, says that, “no one can do better – at loving her family and friends” ….. WOW!!! ….. is there REALLY anything more beautiful?????
So I say “let’s get back to sensuality” ….. the connection between HEART and our real world ….. our brains able to HOLD onto the link ….. the link between the BODY …..where we feel …… and the beauty where life truly happens …… the link between the HEART where life REALLY happens!
How do we feel? ……. Where do we feel? ….. Where is the connection? What is the connection that really matters? LOVE ….. LIFE ….. REALITY!!!!!
